Since 1907, thousands of donors, volunteers, guild members, and friends -- people just like you -- have supported Children's with gifts of time, talent, and treasure. This generosity has helped us grow to become a regional medical center with an international reputation for patient care, research, and training. Our purpose is constant: to care for children, and only children; to care for every child who needs us. Last year alone, Children's provided more than $25 million in un and undercompensated care to children with inadequate insurance coverage. And that's why we need you. There are many ways to help:
As you browse through our sister site guild.chmc.org, you'll notice that we often refer to Children's Hospital Foundation, Children's Hospital Guild Association, and Children's Retail. The sole purpose of all these organizations' efforts is to raise private donations for the hospital, and we all work in concert to ensure the most efficient use of your donation. When you give a gift, you can be assured that you've made a good investment: Almost 90 percent of donated funds go directly to provide services to children. Children's Hospital Foundation offers a variety of gift opportunities to support hospital needs such as uncompensated care, research, capital, program, and endowment. With a membership base of more than 8,500 individuals, Children's Hospital Guild Association is an organization of 475 guilds and auxiliaries that raise money primarily for uncompensated care. Children's Retail consists of the hospital gift shop and six thrift stores located throughout Western Washington, which contribute 100 percent of all profits to Children's. No matter how you choose to participate or at what level, your support is appreciated. Thank you for helping Children's give the gift of health to children of the Northwest.
